- If I signed up for another Purina site, do I have to sign up for this one too?
No, your email address and password from other Purina sites will work here, too.
- How do I change my email address, password, or other information?
When you are logged in, click on the "my account" text link near the top of the page. Edit any of the information, and then click on the "Submit" button. If you changed your email address or password, remember to use these next time you log in.
- How do I sign up for the newsletter?

- How do I unsubscribe and stop receiving petcentric newsletters?

- Did petcentric transfer my photos and videos from my old petcentric place profile?
Yes. Your videos were transferred to this new site. When you log in for the first time, you will be asked to create a username. Once you confirm your username, you can access your account where your old videos will be displayed.
- What are the file requirements for uploading a video?
Accepted file formats include: .mov, .mp4, .mpeg, .mpg, .qt, .wmv, .3g2, .asf, .avi, .dv with a maximum file size of 2GB.
- Where does my video go when it's uploaded?
When you upload your video, a copy is saved to your profile, and it is added to the Pet Theater section on this site. We may also use your video in our advertising, emails, etc. Please see our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.
- Is there a limit to the number of videos I can upload?
No. You may upload as many videos as you like. In the future, we may need to archive videos if we find storage issues, but we will notify you if/when this happens.
- What is a podcast?
Podcasts are audio or video programs that you can download and play on your computer or portable media player. Podcasts are usually distributed using Really Simple Syndication (RSS) technology.
- What do I need to see or hear podcasts?
To see or hear podcasts, you need a computer with a sound card. If you want to take your podcasts on the go, you'll need to transfer them from your computer to a portable media device.
- Do I need special software to receive podcasts?*
To receive podcasts automatically, you need podcast subscription software such as Apple's iTunes (which has the software built in), or services such as Odeo.
- Do I need an iPod to listen to podcasts?
No. You can watch or listen to podcasts on any device that plays mp3 or video files, including your computer.
- Why don't video podcasts play on my PC?*
Purina video podcasts are in .mp4 format, which you can view using the QuickTime player, RealPlayer or iTunes - all of which are available at no charge. Windows Media Player does not recognize .mp4 video files. If you have trouble viewing Purina video podcasts, download one of these players and try again.
- How do I subscribe to Purina podcasts?*

The easiest way to subscribe to Purina podcasts is via our Petcasting homepage on iTunes, where you may subscribe to shows at the click of a button.
Alternatively, all of our podcast pages include an XML link that you may copy and paste into your podcast software of choice.
- Does Purina charge for its podcasts?
No. Purina podcasts are free of charge.
- How often does Purina publish new podcasts?
Publication schedules vary. Some of our podcasts may be published weekly, others less often. Subscribe to the podcasts to make sure you catch all the action.

- What resolution should I use?

Use the resolution at which your monitor is currently set. To find out, follow these instructions:
- Windows instructions. Click Start > Settings > Control Panel, then double click on Display. Click on the Settings tab at the top. In the bottom right of this screen, you'll see the Screen Area. It will display 640x480, 800x600, or 1024x768. This is the resolution at which your monitor is currently set.
- Macintosh users. Launch System Utilities and select Displays. Your monitor resolution settings will be highlighted in the left windowpane.
- Why don't you support my monitor resolution?

While we support the most common monitor resolutions, we cannot support them all. If we don't support your monitor resolution, you may still set these images as your wallpaper, they just may not display perfectly.
- How do I download wallpaper?

- Windows instructions. Click on the wallpaper link that you wish to download. This will open the image in a pop-up window. After the image loads, right click on the image and select "Set as wallpaper" or "Set as background" on newer versions of Windows.
- Macintosh instructions. Select your screen resolution beside the wallpaper image you wish to download. When the image has finished loading, control-click or right click on the image and select "Save image to the desktop." Then launch System Utilities, select Desktop and Screensaver to set the image as your background.

- What is RSS?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and it's a convenient way to keep up with your favorite news and information. Using RSS, you can gather new content from a variety of sites and view it all in one convenient location. To view RSS content you need an RSS newsreader (also called an aggregator) such as MyYahoo!
- What are RSS readers?
RSS newsreaders are web-based services or software programs that aggregate your RSS feeds and display them in one central location.
- Where can I get an RSS reader?*
Examples include MyYahoo, Google Reader and FeedReader, among many others. Some readers are web-based, others are small software programs. Most are free.*
- How do I use these feeds?

The first step is to choose an RSS reader. Each reader has a slightly different way of adding feeds.
To add Purina feeds to your MyYahoo! page, just click the MyYahoo! button next to the feed that interests you.
To add Purina feeds to other RSS readers, click the small XML button next to the feed that interests you. This will bring up a page of XML code. Copy the URL in your browser's address bar and paste it into the "Add new channel" section of your reader. That should do it! The feed should display immediately and update automatically.
- How often are Purina RSS feeds updated?
The Purina RSS feeds vary in terms of how often they are updated. Some may be updated weekly, others less often.
