Pets offer unconditional love that's both special and unique. For this reason, many animal owners opt to bring their furry friends along while traveling, rather than boarding them or leaving them with a pet sitter. Celebrities are no different, and many high-profile stars can't bear to be separated from their beloved animals while they're on location filming or vacationing throughout the world. Here's a look at some A-list stars who are famous for traveling with their pets.

When supermodel Miranda Kerr isn't carrying her son Flynn, she's usually holding her Yorkie pup, Frankie. Kerr and hubby Orlando Bloom frequently travel between New York and Los Angeles, and Frankie usually travels with them. Frankie flies in style too! Kerr has a specially-designed shoulder bag for transporting her beloved pooch.

Former "American Idol" Kelly Clarkson has found unconditional love with her two dogs, a Poodle named Joplin and a Maltese named Security. Kelly and her dogs recently made a big entrance at a hotel in Seattle, Washington. A witness said, "the two little pups were like sled dogs pulling her toward the elevators. Clarkson couldn't stop smiling, but it was a question of who was walking who!" We wonder if she had to call "Security."

That's not a purse Russell Brand is carrying - it's his much-loved cat, Morrissey! While filming the movie "Arthur," Brand traveled between New York and Los Angeles with his kitty by his side. He even tweeted a picture of Morrissey in his grey cat carrier, which does look like a large handbag.

In an interview, K-Stew referred to herself as a "crazy cat lady" and spoke of her love for her Bengal cat, Max. Nicknamed "Jella," Max sometimes freaks out during flights; Kristen says he meows a lot! The actress is expecting her first baby with hubby Nick Lachey, and she's had loads of practice holding and caring for a different sort of baby - her dog Wookie. Vanessa and her pup are frequently photographed entering and leaving LAX, since she takes him almost everywhere she goes, including Shreveport, Louisiana, while she filmed "Disaster Movie."

"Twilight" actress Ashley Greene sure goes for the ones with fangs! Greene was seen getting puppy smooches from Marlo, her cute Toy Fox Terrier, after the two arrived in New York City.
