Standard Schnauzer
Schnauzers are lively, active dogs, but they can be stubborn. They require a strong hand when training and are not ideal dogs for the novice owner. They can become one-person or one-family dogs and may become very territorial. They do get along well with other dogs, household pets and children. Quick to alert the family of any strangers approaching their territory, they are excellent guard dogs.
Standard Schnauzer
A Schnauzer-type dog has been represented in art and sculptures as early as the 1400’s. The Standard Schnauzers from Germany, Switzerland and France were the original Schnauzers, eventually giving rise to the Miniature and Giant Schnauzers. They made excellent guard dogs.
