Saluki
Salukis are independent and intelligent. They are the perfect household pets, as they are quiet and reserved. To cope with the desert heat, ancient Salukis didn’t have the oily undercoat, which means you don’t even have to deal with the usual doggy odor. They also shed very little. Owning a Saluki is almost like having a little bit of royalty in your home.

Saluki
As one of the most ancient sight hounds, the Saluki dates back to at least 3000 B.C. in Mesopotamia. They are thought to have descended from the Ara desert wolf, renowned for its endurance and speed. They have been depicted in the art of many countries, including Syria, Kurdistan, Persia and Egypt. The Bedouin Arabs called them a gift from Allah, and they were given to mark friendship and respect.
