Gotta make an admission. Desi (my Big Kitty) likes it when I sing to him using Kitty language. However, he only shows his appreciation when we're alone. I think he enjoys making me look like a fool whenever someone comes in the room and I am gently singing. That's when he just turns off, looks at me, looks at whoever came in and walks away.

I had my first birthday!

I am one year old now, because I had a birthday. It was my first one, but now I want to have more – because it was so much FUN!!!

I got a new shirt to wear. It has words on it. They say PARTY ANIMAL. Because this is me – a doggie with a BIRTHDAY!!!

I wore my new shirt to work, so everyone knew that it was my special day. People wished me HAPPY BIRTHDAY, and gave me lots of petting. Petting is always a nice present!

Other friends stopped by to see me too. Some of them barked – they were VERY excited about my birthday – just like me!

I got lots of treats on my birthday. Everyone wanted to give me one. And I wanted to take them!

I had a very nice day, all day long. It’s fun to be one year old - so far. But it is a lot of work too. I was so tired after my big day. I was ready for a BIG sleep!
